The J2A 2010 Pilgrimage is already underway!  We started out almost two years ago, meeting on Sunday mornings and for lots of other special events.  This all leads up to a final trip, which will take place from August 8 to 17, 2010.

Here is the broad outline of our plans… we will add more detail as we get closer, although it will be subject to change up to and during the actual event!

Sunday, August 8

11:15 AM – Worship with the First United Church Community

12:30 PM – Lunch with our families and friends at First

1:30 PM – Commissioning service with families and friends at First

Travel to San Francisco.

Monday, August 9

Pick up our rental van.

Hike/walk at Marin headlands.

Sightsee in San Francisco (Castro, the Mission, the Pier)

Dinner at First Congregational Church in Palo Alto

Tuesday, August 10

Alcatraz

Chinatown and Grace Cathedral

Wednesday, August 11

Drive to Yosemite and explore Yosemite Valley

Thursday, August 12

Hike in Mariposa Grove

Drive to Monterey Bay

Friday, August 13

Visit Monterey Bay Aquarium

Saturday, August 14

Hiking and horseback riding in Andrew Molena State Park

Sunday, August 15

Worship with First Congregational Church (Palo Alto)

Relaxing afternoon

Overnight Vigil at Big Basin State Park

Monday, August 16

Relax and Pack

Dinner and closing celebration at First Congregational
